Candle Making and Reusing

We have been fortunate to have enough to eat.  We have finished off some pizza sauce, salsa and some alfredo sauce.  That means we had some empty jars laying around.

A few months ago, I saw a pin on pinterest about making candles for $2 each.  It was using canning jars (8oz) and simply putting in a wick and melting some soy wax (bought in bulk) and there you have it.  So, after making those, I had a ton of wax and wicks left.

These freshly emptied jars were turned into candles.  These we will use in case of emergency power outages or camping.

Unfortunately the milk carton fell on the ground and busted.  Those larger canning jars came in handy to hold the milk. :)
